Clean Beauty Products

I don’t wear a ton of makeup but there are some products that I use regularly. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that I was blown away by the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer. Because I don’t wear foundation, I was looking for something that would conceal the dark circles around my eyes without needing to wear additional makeup in order to make it seem natural. The NARS concealer did just that.

I knew that I needed to shift over some of my makeup products that weren’t clean. And so started the search for quality beauty products made not only with clean ingredients but also not overly expensive. I have tried a few beauty lines and have found a few that I absolutely love.

Make-Up:

Two of the make-up brands that I love are Clove and Hallow and Pure Anada. I haven’t tried all of their products but the ones that I have include:

Clove and Hallow

Conceal and Correct Liquid Concealer: This by far is one of my favorite products because it is as close to the NARS concealer. The shade I use is 04 and it’s the closest to the NARS Medium 2 (Ginger).

Lip Crème:  This lip crème provides full coverage while leaving your lips feeling moisturized. It can also be used on the apples of your cheeks to add some color. Ingredients include shea butter, sunflower seed wax and vitamin E.

Pure Anada

It is only in the last few weeks that I came across this Canadian Brand. Besides using clean products, I LOVE that you can order samples of the products that you want to try before you commit. There are many times that I have brought a product only to try it and not love it.  Below are some of the products that I have tried.

Loose Mineral Cheek Powder, Bronzed Clove Pressed Bronzer Blush, Glisten Mineral Lip Gloss

Pink House Organics Glow Sticks: I can’t say enough about these glow sticks. They’re so versatile – you can use them on your lips, cheeks, wherever you want to add a natural glow. They also come in a travel size which is fantastic. To read more more about why I love them, check out this post.

Make-Up Remover:

K’Pure Naturals Clean Slate: Up until this point, I had been using baby wipes to quickly remove my makeup at the end of the day. They weren’t the best option but they were convenient. If you’re looking to switch over your make-up remover, I highly recommend Clean Slate. A little bit goes a long way. I recently used it after Emme had her face painted and it removed the thick layers of make-up from her face in no time.

Other Beauty Products:

You’ll also want to check out the Unwrapped Life for clean beauty products that come in eco-friendly, minimalist packaging. I’ve recently purchased The Hydrator Shampoo Bar  and conditioner (what’s better than less waste AND not having big, bulky shampoo bottles in your shower??) I also purchased the Smooth and Salty Shaving Bar for David.
