I’ve been slowly changing over all of our detergent and cleaners to “clean” products over the past few years. Recently, I switched over to Young Living products and thought I’d give the Thieves Laundry Soap (detergent) a try. If you see the price, you might think it’s expensive for 946ml (If you’re a member, it’s $37.95) but this is what I do to make it go a little bit further in our house. It’s super simple and easy and will help the detergent go a bit further.
I prefer to use glass containers in our house instead of plastic. These are similar to the jars that I use. They come with a black lid but I spray-painted mine white.
Here’s What to Do:
- Divide the laundry detergent into three glass jars.
- Once you have filled your jars with the detergent, pour two tablespoons of Thieves household cleaner into each jar.
- If you want to add essential oils, you can add them as well. The laundry detergent is citrus scented so I didn’t add any other oils. I usually prefer non-scented products anyways.
- The last step is to add hot water to fill your container and give it a shake.
NOTE: When you’re ready to use the detergent, if you attach a pump, add 2 pumps to a large load of laundry.
