DIY Gold Beauty Jars

I’ve been desperately needing to organize the products in my bathroom but it just wasn’t happening.

I was looking for some ideas of what I could do when I saw these gold, beauty jars. They totally caught my eye and when I looked into making them, I realized that I already had most of the materials and the ones that I needed would be inexpensive!

I had a few mason jars at home that I wasn’t using but I also went to a local thrift store and found some that were different sizes and shapes as I didn’t want everything to be uniform. I also found a bag of dinosaurs there and thought they would be perfect for this. I’m planning on making some more but with more exotic animals like lions, giraffes, etc. Just doing my job and putting the toys to use!

These beauty jars are so beautiful and incredibly easy to make. It also doesn’t take a lot of time.

I didn’t use a primer on the lids or dinosaurs but you may want to. I applied three coats of gold spray paint and it covered the dinosaurs well.

Step 1: You’ll want to make sure your jars are clean and that you have removed any stickers and residue from the stickers.
Step 2: Let the jars dry.
Step 3: (Spray your jars with a primer and let dry). I skipped this step and you can tell on one of the jars that the paint is a bit streaky.
Step 4: Glue the animals to the lids.
Step 5: Place the lids on newspaper. Spray with your gold spray paint. Remember to spray under the animals too.
Step 6: Let the lids dry.
Step 7: Repeat Steps 5-6. I did 3 coats.

Note: When I did this DIY, I sprayed the dinosaurs and lids separately, glued the dinosaurs on the lids and then applied more spray paint.
