The Best Sandals for Little Feet

I haven’t been too picky with my kids’ footwear. Emme refuses to wear shoes which is okay because she isn’t walking just yet and Spencer has been very easy-going when it comes to wearing anything. The other night Spencer mentioned that his leg was sore. I am no doctor, but the first thing that I thought of was his sandals. He’s been wearing flip-flops the majority of the summer and they don’t have the greatest support.

I had been thinking about getting him a pair of Salt Water sandals. I had heard great things about them (they can be worn in water, they are super comfortable, etc.) but hadn’t bitten the bullet to actually buy a pair. The first time I had him try them on, he said he didn’t like them but I think he wanted to play with the toys in the store instead of try on a pair of sandals.

This past week I bought him a pair of the sandals. He immediately liked them and said that they felt good. I took that as a sign that they were comfortable. The fact that they offer great support for growing feet, are comfortable, can be adjusted (some people have said that they fit wide) to fit more narrow feet and are made with quality materials (like leather) that will last the test of time all justify splurging on a good pair of sandals. I also bought a gender neutral color that I could use one day for Emme. I am definitely a fan of these shoes!

I would love to hear if there are any sandals that you’ve tried with you little ones that have offered good support for their feet.

Sandals can be found locally at: Watermelon Tree Kids (Fort Langley) and Little Bean & Co. (Abbotsford) or online here.
